so I’m going with a close to factory red, but metal flake. BTW isn’t it just fun as hell to drive around with the top off? IMO it beats the hell out of a rag top convertible! Maybe Ill see ya on the road someday! Have fun with the chick magnet!

Dude, so much epic win. I have a red ‘86 with, what looks like, the same options yours has. Red interior, etc. I got mine for a HS grad present about a yar or so ago. It’s up for a custom paintjob in september though I believe due to the sun flaking off some of th epaint for some wierd reason :/

In ‘87, Ford’s 5.0 h.o. made 15 hp less than Chevy’s 5.7 ‘Vette motor, and came with forged aluminum pistons and forged rods. Ford actually deserves alot of credit for the Mustang 5.0s of the 1980s. My ‘82 5.0 Mustang with basically a stock rebuild on the motor (8.6:1 compression) and a few bolt-ons including a decent cam put the smack down on an ‘85 Corvette a few days ago. Once I hit 5200+ in second and then shifted to third he fell behind quickly and gave up. Love the ‘Vette tho

yea you’re right, and those are nice vettes, i was a dick for that comment, they were fast for the times,i have an old dusty lt1 z28 so i dont have much room to talk
